To Stitch a Wide Hem

(1) A wide hem may be

stitched evenly on

sheets, pillow slips,

etc., with the edge-

Stitcher after the

edge turned.

(2) Insert the edge in slot

stitch as close to

the edge as desired.

(1) To make a uniform

width French seam,

insert the two edges

to be joined, wrong

sides together, in

and stitch close

to the edge.

(2) Fold both right sides

together and insert

the b a c k o f t h e

seam in the slot 1

and stitch, allow­

ing j u s t e n o u g h

margin to conceal

the raw edges.
