To Stitch a Wide Hem
(1) A wide hem may be
stitched evenly on
sheets, pillow slips,
etc., with the edge-

measured and the
edge turned.
(2) Insert the edge in slot
5, Fig. 51, and ad­
just the lug D2 to
stitch as close to
the edge as desired.

and stitch close
to the edge.
(2) Fold both right sides
together and insert

and stitch, allow­
ing j u s t e n o u g h
margin to conceal
the raw edges.
