ASSEMBLY

IMPORTANT: This unit is shipped without gasoline
or oil in the engine. After assembly, see OPERA­
TION section of this manual for proper fuel and
engine oil fill-up.

NOTE:

To determine right and left hand sides of

your Yard Vacuum, stand behind the unit, in the
operating position. See Figure 1.

Your Yard Vacuum has been completely assembled
at the factory, except for the handle, bag, and blower
chute. These parts are shipped loose in the carton.
A pair of safety glasses and a 20-oz. bottle of engine
oil are also included in the carton. See Figure 1.

REMOVING FROM CARTON

Cut the corners of the carton.

Remove all loose parts.

Remove packing material. Lift unit from the rear

and discard foam blocks. Roll unit out of carton.
Check carton thoroughly for loose parts.

DISCONNECTING SPARK PLUG

See Figure 2.

Before proceeding with assembly of your new Yard

Vacuum unit, disconnect the spark plug wire from
the spark plug and ground onto the retaining post on
the engine. This will prevent accidental starting of
the engine.

ATTACHING THE HANDLE

» Fold up the upper handle until it aligns with lower

handle. Make sure the rope guide is on the right
side of upper handle. See Figure 1.

® Secure by tightening the upper wing nuts which

connect the two handles together.
