ImPORtAnt AdJuStmEntS BEfORE OPERAtIOn
Before you connect the power supply to the equipment to be powered or to
the mains, make sure that the output voltage (V), the output current (mA)
and the polarity correspond to the device you wish to power.
1.) chEcK cURRENt
make sure that the device you want to connect to, does not consume more
current (mA) than the power supply is able to supply (check the name plate of
the power supply). If the power supply is overloaded, it can be destroyed.
2.) chooSE thE coRREct oUtPUt coNNEctoR
the enclosed connectors correspond to the most commonly used sizes.
the correct connector should fit properly using a little pressure. do not
use extreme force to insert the connector as this could damage the unit
to be powered.
3.) SEt thE coRREct PoLARIty FoR thE EqUIPmENt to BE PoWEREd
check the polarity of the equipment to be powered and set the appropriate
polarity through the polarity inverter [4] at the output cable of the power
supply (see figure B). cAUtIoN: Incorrect polarity may destroy the device
to be powered, so the incorrect polarity must not be used, even for a short
time to check!
