PCV System Re-routing: On both valve covers the breather lines are connected to the valve
covers with GM QC fittings that contain a check-ball that can and will become stuck not allowing for
proper crankcase ventilation, and one must be removed (passenger side) and the other replaced with the
new supplied QC fitting. Follow the steps below to properly remove the check ball from the passenger
side valve cover fitting and re-install.

Locate the passenger side valve cover breather. Disconnect passenger side valve cover QC fitting
and locate the small black retainer inside as shown above. Use a small pick “Hook” and pull the ball
retainer as shown in the two pictures below. The check ball should fall right out allowing for proper
crankcase ventilation. Discard of retainer and check ball and install QC fitting back on passenger side
valve cover.
