Difficult s tarting

Defective spark plug.

R eplace spark plug.

Water or dirt in fuel system.

Use carburetor bowl drain to flush and refill with
fresh fuel.

E ngine runs erratic

B locked fuel line, empty gas tank, or stale
gasoline

C lean fuel line; check fuel supply; add fresh
gasoline

E ngine s talls

Unit running on C HOK E .

S et choke lever to R UN position.

E ngine runs erratic;
L os s of power

Water or dirt in fuel system.

Use carburetor bowl drain to flush and refill with
fresh fuel.

E xces s ive vibration

Loose parts: damaged impeller

S top engine immediately and disconnect spark
plug wire. Tighten all bolts and make all
necessary repairs. If vibration continues, have
the unit serviced by a competent repairman.

Unit fails to propel its elf

Drive belt loose or damaged.

R eplace drive belt.

Unit fails to dis charge s now

Auger drive belt loose or damaged.

Adjust auger drive belt; replace if damaged.

Auger control cable not adjusted correctly.

Adjust auger control cable.

Discharge chute clogged.

S top engine immediately and disconnect spark
plug wire. C lean discharge chute and inside of
auger housing.

F oreign object lodged in auger

S top engine immediately and disconnect spark
plug wire. R emove object from auger.
