4. Lower the lamp to its lowest position, than remove the protective
backing and carefully fit the self-adhesive support base within
the marked area.
5. Make sure the tape is pressed evenly against the terrarium glass
and that no air bubbles are showing
6. Press the adhesive sides firmly against the glass panel for at
least 30 seconds and make sure the tape is attached firmly to
the terrarium before releasing the fixture.
7. Once in place, the Terrarium Fixture should not be removed.
8. Adjust the height and tighten the screw of the Terrarium Fixture
to suspend the fixture above the terrarium at the
desired height.
9. Ensure that the light’s focal point is not positioned above any
plastic parts of the terrarium or screen cover to prevent damage.
10. Screw light bulb into the Exo Terra
®
Terrarium Fixture (follow
maximum wattage guidelines).
Maintenance
No special maintenance is required for the Exo Terra
®
Terrarium
Fixture, other than periodic cleaning with a cloth (never use harsh
chemical products or detergents). To remove calcareous deposits
(bulb sockets), it is recommended to use a mild acid such as vinegar,
followed by a thorough wipe down with a damp cloth to remove
any residues.
TIP: apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the threads on the base
of the light bulb before screwing it in. This will make it easier to
unscrew the bulb when it is time to replace it.
GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed for defects in material or workmanship
for a period of 2 years from date of purchase. The guarantee is valid
with proof of purchase only. The guarantee is limited to repair or
replacement of the product only and does not cover consequential
loss or damage of or to animate or inanimate objects. The warranty
does not cover wear and tear parts. The warranty also does not
cover a product which has not been regularly and correctly cleaned
and maintained. This guarantee is valid only under normal operating
conditions for which the product is intended. It excludes any damage
caused by unreasonable use, improper installation, negligence,
tampering, or abuse of the product. The warranty does not cover
commercial use. Warranty does not include bulb. For guarantee
service contact your local pet retailer or write to the representative in
your country. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
RECYCLING
This item bears the selective sorting symbol for waste
electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE). This means
that the product must be handled pursuant to European
Directive 2002/96/EC in order to be recycled or
dismantled to minimize it’s impact on the environment.
For further information please contact your local or regional
Authorities. Electronic products not included in the selective sorting
process are potentially dangerous for the environment and human
health due to the presence of hazardous substances.

product, please consult your Exo Terra specialist retailer in the first
instance. Most problems can be resolved in store, but in the unlikely
event it cannot, please return the unit with a valid proof of purchase
to the retailer for a replacement under the two year warranty. When
