Installation - Exo Terra Natural Terrariums
Follow this installation procedure to install the Exo Terra

®

Monsoon

RS400 system on any size of Exo Terra

®

Natural Terrarium. The

system comes with two nozzles, which should be mounted on either

glass side panel of the terrarium as close as possible to the opening

• A “drip loop” shown in the figure

beside, should be arranged by the

user for each cord connecting a

power adaptor to the socket. The

“drip loop” is the part of the cord

below the level of the receptacle,

or the connector if an extension cord

is in use. This prevents water from

traveling along the cord and coming

into contact with the socket or power supply. If the plug or socket

gets wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit

breaker that supplies power to the appliance then unplug and

examine for the presence of water in the socket.

• To avoid injury, do not contact moving or hot parts such as lamps,

heaters, reflectors or bulbs.

• CAUTION - Always unplug or disconnect the appliance from

the outlet before putting on or taking off parts and while the

equipment is being installed, maintained or handled. Never yank

the cord to pull the power adaptor from the outlet. Grasp the

power adaptor body and pull to disconnect. Always unplug an

appliance from an outlet when not in use. Never lift this product

by the supply cord.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including

children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities,

or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given

supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a

person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised

to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use. The

use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance

manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.

• Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to

temperatures below freezing. Do not expose the unit to direct

sunlight.

• Ensure that the appliance is placed on a flat, even surface.

Monitor the product regularly. Do not leave the product unattended

for extended periods.

• If an extension cord is necessary, ensure the connection is

watertight and dust proof. A cord with a proper rating should be

used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance

rating may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so

that it will not be tripped over or pulled. The connection should be

carried out by a qualified electrical installer.

• Indoor Household Use Only. Not for commercial use.
• CAUTION - To prevent corrosion or deterioration of materials that

could lead to electric shock, use only with fresh water.

• Do not add any chemicals or medicinal compounds to the water

used in this device.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

1. Unlock the top screen cover and lift it off the terrarium.
2. Slide the inlet holes (located on the back of the screen top on

either side) to the open position, so the tubing will fit through.

3. Feed the tubing through the first inlet hole on each side on the

back of the screen cover. (fig. A)

4. Mount the nozzles in position on the glass portion of the

terrarium’s side panels with the suction cups. Make sure that

the glass area is clean and free of any dirt or deposits before

mounting the nozzles. For the best results, mount the nozzles

as close as possible to the front opening windows and the top

screen. (fig. B)

5. Direct the nozzle positions inside the terrarium so that the spray

stream will avoid spraying on the terrarium’s front and side

panels when in operation.

6. Use the additional suction cups to neatly guide the tubing along

the side panels to the inlets at the back of the terrarium.

7. Replace the top screen cover and lock it back into position.
