1. TOOLS TYPICALLY NEEDED:

2. INSPECT (BEFORE USE):

Ensure all fasteners and locking mechanisms are in place and tightened before use. Regularly check

and tighten as needed.

Check that all parts of the stair system are in good condition.

Confirm the stair system is correctly leveled and positioned securely.

Inspect for damaged, loose, or missing parts before use. If damaged, loose, or missing parts are noted,

DO NOT USE and contact manufacturer.

3. SYMBOLS, SAFETY, AND WARNINGS

3.1.

SYMBOL MEANINGS:

WARNING SYMBOL: This symbol may appear in various colors and in conjunction with other
symbols. The WARNING symbol indicates that a failure to obey the warning could result in property
damage, damage to equipment, serious personal injury, or death, as well as the serious personal
injury or death of others.

NOTE SYMBOL: This symbol may appear in various colors and in conjunction with other symbols.
This indicates that a failure to obey all notes could result in improper operation, less than optimum
performance, and at the sole discretion of the manufacturer, may void your warranty.

SET UP, USE, AND MAINTENANCE WARNINGS

Safety warnings, notes, and caveats expressed in this manual are for the protection of people and

RATED LOAD: 100 psf, 300 lbs. concentrated. NEVER EXCEED THE RATED LOAD.

Securely install the OSHA Riser Safety Pin in the OSHA Stair Platform Riser Hanger before use.

Do not use the system without properly installed handrails.

Metal conducts electricity. Never use near electrical current.

Use caution at all times. Do not run or jump on the system.

Do not play on or around the system, including climbing on, through, or under the handrails.

Do not use any part of the system, including handrails, to support planters, power cords, decorations,
etc.

Never place anything under or attach anything to the system to gain height or to adjust for uneven
surfaces.

Do not use any component not supplied or approved by the manufacturer with the system.

If any part of the system is damaged, loose, or missing, DO NOT USE until repairs can be made by a
certified installer, or other qualified person.

Proper maintenance and upkeep of the system is vital to the health and safety of people using the
system.

At all times, keep the system clear of dirt, leaves, and other debris that may accumulate on the
surface. Do not use the system if the surface is covered with ice and or snow. Accumulation should
be shoveled and the tread surface swept clean, prior to use.

Periodically check for ground shifts and adjust level if required.

Always properly support and restrain the system in transit and or storage.

Always use as described in this manual. Do not misuse or abuse.

If lag bolts cannot be installed, it is strongly recommended the platform be secured to the building in
another structurally sound manner.

Consult manufacturer for part numbers of oversized feet & legs (FIG. 5) and complete system part
numbers.
