STANDARD BAKING GUIDELINES
The 1 -4 temperature dial does not correspond to oven temperatures and can vary slightly in different Tasty
Bakers. We offer the suggested bake times and temperatures below as guidelines only. Variations in
batter recipes can alter cooking times.
Waffles and Pancakes: Temperature level 3, bake for 4 minutes
Cakes and Donuts: Temperature level 3, bake for 5 minutes
Muffins and Quickbreads: Temperature level 2.5, bake for 6 minutes
Eggs: Temperature level 3, bake for 4 minutes
Biscuits: Temperature level 4, bake for 2 minutes
Brownies: Temperature level 3.5, bake for 8 minutes
WHOLE WHEAT PANCAKES
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour 1 ½ cups milk
3 ½ teaspoons baking powder 1 egg
1 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon white sugar
Directions:
1. Spray your 5-in-1 Tasty Baker with non-stick spray and preheat with lid closed at temperature level 3.
2. In a large bowl sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in
the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
3. Pour batter into the molds, close the lid and cook approximately 4 minutes. Un-mold using a silicone
or plastic mini spatula or knife. Bring 5-in-1 Tasty Baker back to temperature and repeat. If batter
gets too thick simply add a little more milk.
CLEANING
1. Remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning.
2. Allow the cooking plates to cool and then wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.
3. While damp, use the enclosed Tasty Baker brush to clean additional debris from each character
mold. Use the larger and smaller brush sides to fit into larger and smaller crevices as needed.
4. Put a little dishwashing liquid on cooking plates if necessary. For additional cleaning, hold Tasty
Baker at edge of sink. Power cord and underside of unit must be out of the sink. Pour a cup of
warm water over the cooking plate to remove any stubborn debris from mold.
5. Do not immerse in water or clean the tasty baker under running water
6. Dry carefully afterwards. Any other servicing other than cleaning should be performed by an
authorized service representative.
