The Load Next (red) and Load Previous (green) buttons, labelled as ‘+’ and ‘-’, will step

forwards or backwards through the hierarchy of Presets, loading each one in turn. This allows

quick comparisons, or quick stepping from one to another. Successive clicking of the Load

Next button will step through every Preset in every directory within the current directory.

The displayed Preset Name is fully linked to the VST program name so that saving and

restoring the project on the host platform will save and restore the Preset Name. When a

project is restored, the Preset Manager will attempt to find the Preset name given to it in the

Preset directories, so that the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons will work from that point on.

There will be a ‘*’ at the end of a Preset’s name if the settings have been altered in any way

over the original loaded settings.

For Macintosh users only:

There is a specific directory that includes the read-only Factory Presets. On a clean system,

this Factory Presets folder will be in the default Presets directory, and any other Presets will

appear below the Factory Presets menu item.

The user may still change the current Preset folder as described above. If the user browses to

the local domain folder where we install factory Presets by default, the ‘Factory Presets’

menu item is removed. When the user browses away again, it is replaced once more.
