Introduction
This Starrett Electronic Micrometer is designed to CE and IP67 (water resis-
tant) requirements. The tool has data output for SPC (Statistical Process Con-
trol) printers and computers through cables/adaptors or Starrett DataSure
®
wireless technology.
Installation of Batteries:
The micrometer comes with two CR2032 lithium (coin cell) batteries, not
installed. To change and install new batteries refer to Fig. 1.
First, unscrew the battery cover from the back of the micrometer and install
the
first battery with negative side down. Next, install the second battery
with the positive side down. Then, replace the cover making sure the rubber
gasket is positioned correctly on the battery cover. The display will flash until
the DATUM button is depressed to establish the DATUM position - see the
section on “Setting the DATUM ”.
Operating Instructions
Automatic Off:
The micrometer will turn off (the display will go blank) after 20 minutes of no
spindle movement, button pushing, or data input/output activity. Any move-
ment of the spindle, button pushing, or input /output activity will activate the
display with no loss of position information.
