S T E P 4 Opening AG3
Loosen set-up collar by turning the knob counter-clockwise (Fig. 8). Pull up set-up
collar (one hand on the set-up collar and one hand on the crank lift hub) until it reaches
the stop ring (Fig. 9). Tighten set-up collar by turning the knob in a clockwise direction
(Fig. 10a). Push arch pole from the crank lift hub in an upward motion until side
arm lock is engaged (Fig. 10b). Locate crank handle on crank lift hub and turn in a
clockwise motion until canopy is fully open (Fig. 11).

S T E P 5 Using Vertical Tilt (For Octagon Only. For square skip to Step 6.)
Loosen set-up collar knob by turning the knob in a counter-clockwise direction
(Fig. 12). Pull down set-up collar to tilt canopy vertically (Fig. 12). Turn knob in a
clockwise direction to tighten vertical tilt position (Fig. 13).
S T E P 6 Closing AG3 Canopy
To close canopy, turn the crank handle in a counter-clockwise motion (Fig. 14).
To disengage (or unlock) side arm lock first. Place one hand on the side arm lock and the
other hand under the crank lift hub (Fig. 15). Push up the crank lift hub slightly and pull the
side arm lock in an upward motion to release side arm lock (Fig. 16). Guide arch pole down
slowly (Fig. 17). Loosen the set-up collar knob (counter-clockwise) to continue to lower side
arm to the closing position (Fig. 18). Turn set-up collar knob in clockwise direction
to tighten closing position (Fig. 18).
Warning: Always close AG3 umbrella in windy conditions. Store in closed position when not
in use (Fig. 18).
S T E P 7 Rotating AG3
Push in BOTH spring loaded push buttons*
(Fig. 19). Turn umbrella stem to rotate 45°
increments (Fig. 20). Spring loaded push
buttons will pop out of holes to lock stem
into position.
*CAUTION: Always push BOTH spring
loaded push buttons while rotating pole, or
damage to umbrella may occur.
