Administering a Test in TurningKey

Follow the steps below to successfully administer a test in TurningKey.

How to administer a test in TurningKey...

Plug the USB RF receiver into the computer.

If an Answer Key is not already loaded, click Open Key on the TurningKey toolbar.

Select the Answer Key and click Open.

Select a Participant List.

Optionally, click Set Timer on the TurningKey toolbar to set a timer. You can specify a duration of time
or a specific end time. A timer may also be set once polling has opened.

Click Open Polling.

A window opens that allows you to specify the ResponseCard NXT settings.

User ID Login: Determines if the participants will be required to enter a User ID when they log in to
the test.

Completed Test Message: Determines if a participant score is sent to the ResponseCard once the
test is sent.

Custom Message: If Custom was selected as the Completed Test Message, enter the text for the
message in the box provided.

Prompt before displaying message: Allows the students to determine if the Completed Test
Message displays on their ResponseCard NXT.

Tip

A QuestionPoint test can also be used as an Answer
Key.

Warning

If the wrong Answer Key is selected and
participants have already started taking the test,
alert them that they need to delete the current test
on the ResponseCard. Once the participants have
deleted the tests, they can log in to the new test.
