RSTC1100 PROFIBUS PARAMETERS
The following parameters are listed by the index number. The fl oating-point numbers are all 2 words (32 bits) long
and are represented in IEEE-754 format. The integers are all 1 byte (8 bits) long. Refer to RSTC User Manual for a
complete explanation of setup, tuning, and diagnostic procedures.
Cyclic Data Exchange
A limited set of parameters is available for Profi bus DP cyclic communication. These include:

Acyclic Data Exchange
All the parameters listed are available for Profi bus DPV1 acyclic communication with Slot 0 selected.
Profi bus Communication Setting
0: Device Address integer, read and write. Address range is 0 to 125; default is 56. The Profi bus Device Address
can be changed by writing to this parameter, however, the new device address will not be used until the next
power cycle. The device address can also be changed through the RSTC Communications Software.
Diagnostics
2: Alarm Status integer, read only. The range is 0 to 255.
Web Break: value = 128, total loss of web tension.
No Control: value = 48 or 72, control signal output has reached 0% or 100% during automatic operation and
web tension is not at set point.
High Tension: value = 64, web tension is greater than the high-tension limit.
Low Tension: value = 32, web tension is less than the low-tension limit.
Max Output: value = 16, control signal output has reached maximum output limit, typically 100%.
Min Output: value = 8, control signal output has reached minimum output limit, typically 0%.
3: Load Cell 1 Tension fl oating point, read only. The range is 0.0 to 10,000.0 lbs.
4: Load Cell 2 Tension fl oating point, read only. The range is 0.0 to 10,000.0 lbs.
5: Control Output fl oating point, read only. The range is 0.0 to 100.0%.
6: Roll Diameter fl oating point, read only. The range is 0.0 to 400.0 inches.
7: Run/Stop Status integer, read only. Run/Stop values are 1 = run and 0 = stop; reading this register provides
the RSTC1100’s current operating mode.
9: Splice A Status integer, read only. Splice A values are 1 = true and 0 = false; reading this register provides
the RSTC1100’s current operating mode. Splice A will return a value of 1 for approximately one second after a
Splice A input is given through a write to Index 10 or the Splice A analog input, otherwise a read will return 0.
