4. Software Installation

4.1 Windows

®

98 Driver Installation

4.1.1 Put the driver CD into the CD-ROM and run the driver from the

“D:\DRIVER\1394a+USB 2.0 Combo 4 ports Cardbus\Windows\

U2v2_1_4.exe” (D: represent CD-ROM)

4.1.2 Follow the screen to install the driver.
4.1.3 Power off the system. Insert combo Cardbus into an available Cardbus

slot. Power up the system

4.1.4 During OS boot up, Windows will display the hardware wizard will

display that it found a “NEC USB Open Host Controller”, Click “Next”

4.1.5 Select “Search for a suitable driver for my device (Recommended)”

and click “Next”

4.1.6 If display “Insert Disk” (Please insert the disk labeled windows 98

second edition CD-ROM)

4.1.7 When the wizard indicates that it found a driver for the device, click

“Next”, then click “Finish” to exit the wizard

4.1.8 The Hardware wizard will display that it found a “Texas Instruments

OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller”, click “Next”

4.1.9 Select “search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)”

and click “Next”

4.1.10 Select “The updated driver (Recommended)”. Texas Instrument

OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller and click “Next”. Then
click “Next” to continue

4.1.11 If display “Insert Disk” (Please insert the disk labeled windows 98

second edition CD-ROM) and click “OK”, then click “Finish” to exit the
wizard

4.2.1 Put the driver CD into the CD-ROM and run the driver from the

“D:\DRIVER\1394a+USB 2.0 Combo 4 ports Cardbus\Windows\

U2v2_1_4.exe” (D: represent CD-ROM)

4.2.2 Follow the screen to install the driver.
4.2.3 Power off the system. Insert combo Cardbus into an available Cardbus

4.2.4 During OS boot up, Windows will display the hardware wizard will
