Chapter 1. Introduction
This quick start guide will allow a user to configure the NetVue Integrated Management System (IMS).
Due to optional configurations, additional CEFD products, as well as the vast number of third party
products the system supports, this quick start guide has been written to direct the user to set-up the
standard configuration with default settings. It is the assumption that the user is familiar with any/all
equipment to be used in conjunction with the NetVue IMS. Finally, the NetVue IMS builds upon the
DataMiner platform from Skyline Communications. So at times, there may be references made to
DataMiner’s nomenclatures. Should the user require further information on configuring additional
equipment or details on the DataMiner platform, they may refer to Comtech EF Data’s NetVue User Guide
(Revision 1).
Chapter 2. NetVue Server Setup
Do these steps to set up the NetVue server:
1. Remove all hardware from the boxes and verify contents to be in place, intact,
and not damaged.
Note:
If any equipment is damaged, contact Comtech EF Data immediately.
2. Connect VGA monitor as well as USB keyboard and mouse.
3. Connect power supply and turn equipment ON.
4. Connect an Ethernet cable to the NETWORK Ethernet port.
