Frequently Asked Questions

How can I play my own videos while my music playlist plays in the

background?

The Video takes precedence, so this function is not allowed. Video content

comes with its own audio tracks, so if you attempt to play a video right after you

start a Music playlist, the music will stop the moment the video begins.

You can play your music with photos because there is no internal audio

accompanying a photo slideshow.

Can I record more than one program at the same time?

Yes.

The FusionTV service allows you to record up to two High Definition

programs that start at the same time. If you are recording a program you can

watch another program while recording. If you choose to record two programs

simultaneously you will only be allowed to view one of the programs that are

being recorded or a previously recorded program.

Why can’t I view or play some of my media files?

Some file formats are not supported.

These file formats are supported:

Photos:

(BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF)

Music:

(AAC, MP3, PCM, WAV, WMA, WMA Pro, Dolby Digital)

Video:

(MPEG 1,2,4, H.264, WM9, DivX, AVS, MP4/MOV, MKV, VC1)

Can I use my remote to control other devices?

Yes.

The Entone IR Universal Remote Control allows you to control up to two (2)

additional devices such as a TV or a DVD player. For additional information on

programming the remote, please refer to the Quick Start Guide that came with

your Entone device.

What is DVR?

DVR stands for Digital Video Recorder. The DVR service allows you to record Live

TV or schedule programs to be recorded in the future.

Which cable or satellite services can I use?

The device works with most cable service providers that support ClearQAM

or premium content with the use of a CableCARD. FusionTV does not support

LiveTV content with any satellite systems.

Why do I need an Internet connection?

Setting up a Network/Internet connection is required to use the Program

Guide and broadband-based services such as VUDU and various Web media

applications on your device. The Internet connection also allows the use of the

built in Web browser and receives software updates are downloaded directly

to the device. Without an Internet connection you will only be able to see

information in your program guide if using antenna (ATSC) as your TV source.

Can I use an external keyboard and mouse with the Web browser?

Yes.

In fact, it is recommended for easier control and navigation. A wireless

keyboard and mouse that uses a single USB adapter (Sold separately) would be

the best solution. If you plug in a USB mouse only, use the remote INPUT button

to display the onscreen keyboard. If using a USB keyboard only, use the arrow

keys on the keyboard or the arrow keys on the remote to navigate to selections.

The USB port is located on the back of the Entone device.

VUDU

How do I remove a user ID set up in VUDU, so my kids cannot get

access to movies or TV shows?

The desired result to keep children from being able to order or view

inappropriate content can be accomplished by setting up VUDU Parental

Controls. You can make all purchases require the passcode you set up, or set

that up only for content rated higher than “

G

”.

You can also set the passcode to be required for viewing all content rated

higher than PG-13 (for US-based devices). This is described in the Parental

Controls section of the VUDU chapter.

The other way to do this is by resetting the device. The Reset option is located

in the Main Menu under “

SETTINGS

”, ”

Restart & Reset

”, and “

Reset

”.
