Release Notes
PLEASE READ THROUGH THESE NOTES BEFORE INSTALLING.
In addition to the items listed here are many other minor incorporated patches and fixes. *
Errors and new additions are subject to change without notice. This version can be done as an
"update" from a prior Bogart 3 version. If you choose do an update, be aware that the main
Settings menu will not immediately reflect this change after the update process. It will still list
the prior Bogart 3 version. To complete the Bogart 4 update process, go to the main Settings
menu and select "Install Product". Then simply "Activate" the Bogart 4.1 version that is in the list
with your Bogart 4 license code. The system will reboot and you now have Bogart 4.1c listed in
the main Settings menu.
Our support team always recommends doing a new full install of software if possible to ensure
features or patches can be properly put in place. If you do plan to do a full install, be prepared
to start fresh on your hard drive and be sure to back up your work.
FIXES - There are a lot of great things about going to Bogart 4 beyond just the whole new set of
great features. For those going from Bogart 3.2c/3.4e to Bogart 4.1c, you will discover a number
of patches put in place. Many of these fixes are in Bogart 3.6c, which is part of this Bogart 4.1c.
-The Bogart 4.1c is now a universal version for all models of Bogart (S4000, S4000 Pro, S2000,
S4100, S3000, and S6000's).
-The display issue where the pause button was needed to re-sync audio on longer storyboard
playbacks has been resolved. (S3000/S6000's)
-Analog footage can now be seen in the Recording preview menu (S3000/S6000's).
-Random drop frames when using DV input reduced with use of new easy workable solution (see
notes below).
-Down converts from HD to SD with the clipboard and Arabesk have had some quality
improvements.
-The HDMI output should have the proper refresh rates and functional now on S2000 and S4100
models.
-HDMI displays now will allow the trackball cursor to select all music track buttons on the far left
and right sides of the Audio Mix menu.
-On Bogart SE models with front LED's, the screen mode currently in use will be briefly shown in
the display when you boot up the machine. It will also no longer say "Anziege", but will be
translated correctly to "Display".
-F4 key now ejects the DVD tray on the Bogart side.
-Eject button on main menu screens for Bogart and Media Manager.
-Adjustments to the installation of new monitors. Therefore, you may now see a change in size
of the installation menu.
- Some HD images from the image pool used in an SD project could cause a crash. This has been
fixed.
-The conversion of scenes from the clipboard with a panoramic scale was improved.
-Some minor fixes to the Audio Mix menu to reduce crashes (i.e. sliding very small audio
samples or using the commentary track with a mic).
-Several other small changes, spelling fixes, and corrections.
