SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE OF THIS GUIDE
The purpose of this guide is to provide installation and basic operating and servicing instructions
for the ONICON F-3100 Flow Meter MODBUS RTU serial interface.
1.2 TYPICAL F-3100 INSTALLATION
The F-3100 is an inline electromagnetic flow meter that measures liquid flow, provides a local
indication of the flow rate and total, and provides this data via a MODBUS RTU RS485 serial
interface to the utility or building control network.
