INSTRUCTIONS

1. Lift car on jack stands and remove front tires

2. Remove 11mm bolt on steering column at firewall

3. Remove 11mm bolt at rack to steering shaft

4. Remove cotter pins from tie rod ends then remove the 15mm nuts

5. Separate the tie rods from the steering knuckle

6. Remove the power steering lines from the factory rack. You can remove the power

steering pump.

7. Remove the two bolts from the k-member that hold the rack in place.

8. Install the Spohn manual rack using the factory bolts on the k-member mounts.

If you have a Spohn k-member with #704-MRM mount installed, skip to

#10.

9. If you have the factory k-member or an aftermarket k-member with factory rack

mounts you will next need to bolt the ¼” plate to the driver’s side end of the manual

rack. Using the supplied gussets, weld the plate to your k-member. If you have the

factory k-member, you will need to extend the clearance notch in the k-member

towards the passenger’s side to properly clear the manual rack. If you have an

aftermarket k-member other than Spohn, you may need to modify or make your own

gussets to weld the plate fast. The parts we sent are universal. Warning: The

mounting plate must be welded on, do not use this rack with just the two factory

mounts!

10. Install the bump-steer kit from the bottom of the spindle.
