11. 1993-1997 Cars: Take the factory steering shaft to a vise and clamp the shaft

where it slides in to the factory column. Hit the bottom rag joint with a hammer. The

shaft should come apart in the middle. Reinstall the top section back in to the car’s

column. The new Spohn shaft will slide in to the factory upper shaft. Attach the

bottom of the shaft to the Spohn rack. On some cars you may need to shorten the

Spohn shaft due to different k-member designs.

12. 1998-2002 Cars: Use needle nose pliers to remove the spring clip from the factory

column. Install the new Spohn steering shaft in to the column. Attach the bottom of

the shaft to the Spohn rack. Drill a 3/8” hole through the Spohn shaft and install the

factory bolt.

13. Get a front end alignment
