Problem Solving
CAUTION: Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord before servicing .

Motor will not start. Power Plug

• Push plug securely into outlet.
• Try another outlet.
• Check circuit breaker.
• Press on/off switch.
• Refer to page 5.
Motor suddenly stops. Thermal Cut Off • Refer to page 5.
Does not clean carpet or bare floor Dust Cup and Filter(s)

Clear blockage
• Empty the dust cup. Clean or change the filter.
Clean the filter screen. Hint: If picking up fine
dust, the dust cup may not look full, but a fine
substance tends to reduce suction when it blocks
airflow through the filter. Make sure the filter is
clean and properly installed.
• Replace a cut, or out of shape belt.
• Clean hair and thread from bristles and end cap
area. Replace brush roll if bristles are worn.
• Remove any clogs from the hose. See page 13.
• Remove blockage. See page 13.
No suction at the end of the hose Dust Cup and Filter(s)
