Figure 18

Low Water Flow (FLOW)

This indicator lights if the control nipple flow switch senses water/glycol flow has dropped
below a safe level.

Freezestat Light (FREEZE)

This indicator lights if the chilled water drops below the freezestat setting, which guards against
system freeze-up. The compressor shuts off and the chilled water pump continues to operate until
the temperature rises above the freezestat setting.

Caution!

Your AEC, Inc. warranty does not cover damage from system freeze-up!

Set the freezestat properly to prevent system freeze-up.

Low Refrigerant Pressure (LO)

This indicator lights if refrigerant pressure drops below a safe level. The compressor stops until
pressure reaches a safe level. The light then goes out and the chiller will resume operation
automatically.

Compressor (COMP)

This green indicator lights during compressor operation.

Compressor Overload (OL)

This indicator lights if the thermal overload in the compressor opens due to an electrical
overload and stops the compressor. Although the overload automatically resets two minutes after
the compressor cools off, the chiller should be inspected by a qualified refrigeration service
technician.
