License registration procedure
License registration has the following procedures:
• Registering the first time —Register a license for an IPS device that has never been activated.
• Registering an upgrade license —Register a license for add-on nodes, add-on features, or time
extension.
After you register your product license, use the activation file to activate the license on your IPS. For more
information, see “ Activating licenses .”
