HAZARD! The saw blade is exposed much more than normally when
making a double mitre cut, which leads to an increased risk of injuries.

Always keep sufficient distance from the saw blade.
Starting position:

o

Saw head completely raised.

o

Mitre saw locked in the desired position.

o

Saw head tilted at the desired angle, in relation to the surface of the workpiece, and
locked in position.

11.1.9

Sawing the workpiece:

 Hold the workpiece against the mitre and width guide. If possible, use a work clamp for

fastening the workpiece.

 Push on the upper half of the ON/OFF switch and push on the safety lock.
 Lower the saw head carefully and completely downwards, while firmly holding onto the

handgrip. You should only apply minimum pressure while sawing, so as to prevent the
motor from slowing down.

 Saw the workpiece in one single movement.
 Carefully let the saw head return to its topmost starting position.
 If further sawing works do not have to be carried out immediately, switch the saw OFF.

11.1.10 Illuminating the work area (26)

Provide for sufficient lighting of the direct working area.
 For this, switch on the lighting unit with the light switch.
 Loosen the lock screw and move the lighting unit so that the illumination of the working

area is optimal.

 Retighten the lock screw again
 If required, each lamp can be aligned individually.

Note: for larger vertical bevel angles, pay attention that the lighting unit
does not collide with the workpiece or the fence during sawing.

11.1.11 Marking the cutting line (14)

A laser beam indicates the cutting line of the saw blade. This allows for exact positioning of
the workpiece for sawing, without having to open the retracting blade guard.
 For this, switch the laser beam on with the switch
 Align the cutting mark on your workpiece with reference to the right-hand edge of the laser

line.

 Before sawing, check if the cutting line is still indicated correctly. The laser beam, as an

example, can be misadjust due to vibrations after intensive use.

Safety instructions for the saw blade guard

The saw blade guard protects against accidental contact with the saw blade and prevents
wood splinters from flying about.

Make sure that the saw blade guard is always installed while working.
