Your safety

Please observe the follow-
ing safety notes. The manu-
facturer is not liable for dam-

ages on the basis of failure to observe
these notes.
Only use the sun shade with suffi cient
ballasting (see Technical data).
Close the sun shade in the event of in-
coming wind or a storm and secure it
with the strap. Otherwise, a gust could
take hold of and overturn the sun shade,
which may cause damage or result in the
product being damaged.
Never start an open fi re near or under the
sun shade. The shade may catch fi re or
be damaged by airborne sparks.
The sun shade is not a children’s toy.
Children may catch their fi ngers. Further-
more, the shade is very heavy and could
injure children if it tips over.
Do not hang anything on shade braces or
do chin-ups on them.
The sun shade can protect your skin
against direct UV radiation, but not
against refl ected UV rays. For this rea-
son, be sure to also use cosmetic sun
block.
In order to protect the sun shade from
excessive strain, close the shade in the
event of rain or snow and secure it with
a strap.
The cover is not suitable for machine
washing, dry cleaning or bleaching.

Intended use

The sun shade is suitable for providing
protection against direct UV rays. It is not
intended to provide protection against
rain or snow.
The sun shade is only suitable for pri-
vate use.

Setting up the shade

In order to provide the sun shade with
a secure position, a shade socket with
a weight of at least 40 kg must be used.
It must be designed for a pipe diameter
of 38 mm.
The bracket must be ballasted. For this,
see “Technical data”.
1. Insert the lower pole in the shade

socket (see Figure A).

2. Push the button c and insert the

shade pole in the bottom socket (see
Figure B).

Opening the shade

Ensure that the shade has been ade-
quately secured.
If applicable, remove the strap and pro-
tective sleeve.
1. Carefully open the shade by hand

(see Figure D).

2. Turn the crank clockwise. Do not ex-

ert too much force in the process and
do not overextend the crank (see Fig-
ure E).

Tilting the shade

Prerequisite: The shade is opened all the
way, meaning the joint a is free (see Fig-
ure F).
1. Push the button b (see Figure G).
2. Tilt the shade by hand to the desired

side (see Figure H).
