5. truck opEratIoN

5.1

check tyre pressures on the truck on a regular basis. Do not

inflate above 30psi.

5.2

Do not overload the truck and ensure that the load is evenly

distributed before setting off.

5.3

When towing the truck proceed at a safe speed especially at

corners where there could be a danger of the load shifting.

5.4

When using as a flat bed truck do not transport loads with an

excessive overhang.

5.5

Extra care should be taken on inclined surfaces.

5.6

If the truck is loaded and left unattended the wheels should

be chocked.

5.7

Where there is a curb or step a ramp should be used.

5.8

When using as a flat bed truck remove all sides so as not to

restrict the turning circle.

4.14 to raise and lock the sides of the truck lift one end-piece first

and move the locking handle (see fig.4-B) into the vertical

position. raise the adjacent side-piece so that the locking

handle passes through the slotted tongue on the side-piece.

now swing the handle downwards to lock the side-piece in

position (see fig.5). repeat the process for all four corners

so that the truck is assembled as shown in fig.6.
