Safety information / Before installation / Installation

Danger to life by electric shock

Electrical installation must be performed by a

qualified electrician.

Every time before connecting the lamp to the

mains, check it and the mains lead for damage.
Dispose the light if you find it is damaged in
any way.

Before installation, remove the fuse for this circuit

or switch off the circuit breaker (0 setting) in the
fuse box.

Make sure before installing the light that the mains

voltage at the place of installation complies with
the operating voltage of the light (230 V∼) and
that the wire cross-section of the supply cable
is not less than 1 mm2. Do not install the light if
this is not the case.

Never let the lamp come into contact with

water or other liquids.

Never open or insert anything into electrical

fittings or equipment. Doing this sort of thing
can lead to a serious danger to life from electric
shock.

Avoiding fire hazards
and risk of injury

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Check the

lamps and light immediately on unpacking for
signs of damage. Do not install the light if you
discover any damage.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

RISK OF DAMAGE TO PROPERTY! RISK
OF INJURY! Ensure that you do not strike
electrical cables, gas or water pipes when you
are drilling into the ceiling. If necessary, check the
ceiling using a suitable detector before you drill.

0,5 m

FIRE HAZARD! Fit the light so that
it is at least 0.5 m away from the
material illuminated. Fire can result

from the development of too much heat.

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS! Make sure

that the light is switched off and has cooled
down before you touch it. Lamps can become
very hot.

Correct procedure

Examine the ceiling before installation and

choose suitable installation fixings.

For ceiling installation we have supplied fixings

suitable for ordinary solid concrete or masonry
construction.

Use 230 volt ∼ energy-saving bulbs with an E14

fitting and a maximum power of 9 watt only.

Fit the light in such a way to ensure it is protected

from damp and dirt.

Before installation

Before installation, please familiarise yourself

with the instructions and illustrations in this
operating manual and with the light itself.

Make sure before installation that there is no

voltage on the line you will be connecting the
light to. To do this, remove the fuse or switch off
the circuit breaker in the fuse box (0 position).

Check that there is no voltage using a voltage

tester.

Installation

Note: you will need an electric drill to install the
light.

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Please read

the operating instructions for your drill.

Remove the glass dome

from the lamp

housing

.

Hold the lamp housing against the ceiling and

mark the intended positions of the drilled holes.

Now drill the fixing holes.

CAUTION! Ensure that you do not damage

any cables in the ceiling.

Insert the dowels

into the drilled holes.

Guide the mains connection cable through the

hole in the lamp housing and fix the lamp in place
by screwing the screws
