When Should I Seek
Medical Advice?

Cleaning

To clean the outside of the unit, use a dry
or at most slightly damp, well-wrung cloth.
Then dry it well. Do not use aggressive or
abrasive cleaning agents.

If necessary, wipe off the cooled lamp with
a dry cloth.

Lamp Durability

All appliances are subject to rigorous
testing before leaving the factory. If you use
the infrared lamp as described in these
instructions, the performance will remain

constant for the entire lifetime of approx.
300 constant operating hours
(= approx. 1200 treatments of approx.
15 minutes).
The guarantee does not cover light bulbs.

Ambient Conditions for
Transport/Storage

• Ambient temperature between -15 °C

and +40 °C

• Relative humidity between 30% and 75%
• Air pressure between 700 hPa and

1060 hPa

Repairing Possible
Faults

95% of all complaints are unfortunately
attributable to operating errors and can be
easily remedied. If you are unable to
remedy the problem using the
troubleshooting list below, please contact
our After-Sales Service by telephone or e-
mail. We would therefore ask you to contact
us before sending your appliance to the
After-Sales Service.

For serious conditions
(diabetes, skin cancer, heart
disease, acute inflammations,
multiple sclerosis, thrombosis,
blood clotting problems), skin
conditions or if seemingly
harmless symptoms last too
long, you should consult your
doctor. In cases where the
healing can be accelerated by
heat, the doctor will
recommend infrared
irradiation.

Caution

Always disconnect the plug
from the mains socket
before cleaning and allow
the unit to cool completely
before cleaning and storing
it!

i

Caution

Before changing the bulb
disconnect the plug from the
mains socket. Only change
the bulb when it is cool!
When replacing the bulb,
ensure that a bulb of the
same type (Philips, PAR 38
E, 230 V, 150 W) is used.
