Toasting
CAUTION - RISK OF FIRE!
► When the appliance is in operation, do NOT cover the toasting slots 2.
There will be a risk of fi re! The appliance could be irreparably damaged!
1) After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster
slots 2.
2) Press down the respective operating lever 3/9 or, if required, both operating
levers 3/9 simultaneously. The automatic bread-centring function centres
the bread in the toasting slots 2.
NOTE
► The toasting process ends in both toasting slots 2 ends simultaneously.
Also when you press both control buttons 3/9 one after the other.
3) Once the desired degree of browning has been reached, the toaster
switches off automatically and the slices of bread are raised back up.
Interrupting the toasting process
If you wish to interrupt the toasting procedure, press the button “Stop” 1.
The toaster switches itself off and the bread slices are ejected upwards.
Warming function
The warming function enables you to warm bread without browning it. As
an example, for toast that has gone cold. The bread is only briefl y warmed.
1) Insert the bread and press the operating button 3/9 down.
2) Press the „Warm up“ button
4. During the warm up process the control
lamp integrated in the „Warm up“ button
4 glows.
3) When the bread has been reheated, the appliance switches itself off auto-
matically and the slices are ejected upwards.
Defrost function
By pressing the button “Defrosting” 8, also frozen bread can be thawed
and toasted. With this, the toaster slowly warms the bread.
1) After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster
slots 2.
2) Press the operating slide 3/9 downwards.
3) Press the button “Defrosting” 8. The integrated control lamp glows.
4) When the defrosting and toasting process is fi nished, the toaster switches itself
off automatically, the control lamp integrated in the button “Defrosting” 8
goes out and the bread slices are ejected to the top.
