To maintain a designer stubble look, shave
dry with an attached protective lid regularly.
In this case, the protective lid acts as a de-
signer stubble attachment.
• Shave your face as described in the

chapter "Dry shaving (Rechargeable
battery and mains operation)".

7. Cleaning and

maintenance of the

device

DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!

• The shaving head4 can be cleaned un-

der running water. Disconnect the de-
vice from the plug-in power unit
cable14 prior to doing so.

• The plug-in power unit and the corre-

sponding cable14 must not be held un-
der running water and must not be
immersed in other liquids.

WARNING! Risk of material dam-
age!
• Do not use any astringent or abrasive

cleaning agents.

• Do not place excessive pressure on the

shaving foils1. They are thin and can
be damaged easily.

• Use the cleaning brush15 for cleaning

the cutter block only. Under no circum-
stances should the shaving foils1 be
cleaned with it.

NOTE: to ensure a consistently smooth
shave, the device must be cleaned and
maintained regularly.

Cleaning after every dry shave

1. Press both release buttons3 and take

off the shaving foil frame2.

2. Tap the shaving foil frame2 carefully.
3. Clean the cutter blocks13 with the

cleaning brush15.

4. Place the shaving foil frame2 on the

device in such a way that it locks into
place.

Cleaning after every wet shave/
occasionally after dry shave

1. If necessary, wipe the device (not the

shaving foils1) with a slightly mois-
tened cloth.

2. Press the release button10. The shav-

ing head4 opens up.

3. Hold the device facing down and rinse

the cutter block and the shaving foil
frame2 in the shaving head4 under
running water.

4. Allow the parts to dry completely.

• Depending on the intensity of usage,

but at least every 6 months, carefully
spread a small amount of sewing ma-
chine oil on the shaving foils1, the cut-
ter blocks13 and the long hair
trimmer12.

8. Storage

DANGER! Keep the device out of
the reach of children.

• When the device is not being used,

place the protective lid11 on the shav-
ing head4.

• The device and accessories can be

stored in the storage pouch16.
