Troubleshooting

This section contains important information on fault localisation and rectifi cation.

Fault causes and rectifi cation

The following table will help with localising and remedying minor malfunctions:

Defect

Possible cause

Remedy

No picture/
sound or
weak signal.

The indoor aerial is not
correctly aligned.

Every station requires an indi-
vidual orientation. For this
reason, realign the indoor
aerial each time you change
the station.

There are obstacles within
the reception range of the
room aerial.

Attempt to remove the
obstructions or position the
aerial in a diff erent location.

There is electromagnetic
interference in the immedi-
ate vicinity.

Try to eliminate the interference
if, for example, it is caused
by other devices (mobile
telephone, microwave, etc.).

NOTE

The reception characteristics of the indoor aerial are only good if you
are close enough to the broadcasting station.

Cleaning

DANGER

Pull the mains adapter

from the mains power socket every time

before cleaning. There is a risk of electric shock!

To avoid irreparable damage, ensure that no moisture penetrates into
the device during cleaning.

Never immerse the device in water or any other fl uid when cleaning.

CAUTION

Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can
damage the upper surfaces.

Clean the surfaces of the device with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn soiling
use a lightly moistened cloth.
