PLAYING CASSETTE TAPES

On Karaoke Tapes, side A is stereo instrumental* (music only) and side B is instrumental on one channel
and vocals on the other channel.
* Depending on the song, background vocals may be included on side A.

CASSETTE TAPE OPERATION

Press the POWER button ❶ to
turn the unit on; the POWER
indicator will light. Slide the
Function switch ❷ to the TAPE
position.

Adjust the MASTER VOLUME ❶
and TONE ❷ controls as desired.

Press the PLAY (➛) button to
begin playback.

Press the STOP/EJECT (

)

button on one of the decks to
open the Cassette Door and insert
a cassette with the open end
facing up and full reel on the right.

To stop playback before the tape
ends, press the STOP/EJECT
(

) button. The PLAY (➛)

button is released and the tape
motor shuts off.

When the tape reaches the end,
the auto-stop mechanism
activates, the PLAY (➛) button is
released and the tape motor
shuts off. Press the STOP/EJECT
(

) button to open the Cassette

Door and remove the tape.

TO SING ALONG

If you would like to sing along with a
tape, simply play the tape, connect
one or two microphones and sing
along! If you insert a Karaoke tape,
you can set the VOCAL switch to
one of the following positions:
MUSIC: Plays instruments, but not
vocals.
NORMAL: Plays instruments and
vocals.
AUTO: The Auto Vocal control is a
special circuit that automatically
suppresses the vocal tracks when
you sing along through the
microphone.
To hear vocals, tape side B must be
played.

To advance or rewind the tape
rapidly, press either the F.FWD
(➛➛) ❶ or REWIND (❿❿) ❷
button. When you reach the desired
point, press the PLAY (➛) button ❸
to resume normal playback.

To pause playback momentarily,
press the PAUSE ( ) button. The
tape movement stops but the tape
motor is still running. Press the
PAUSE ( ) button again to release
pause and resume normal playback.
