To the purchasers of the battery pack
The BP-U35/U70 Battery Pack has a rated capacity of less than 100 Wh. It can thus be
transported as a non-hazardous lithium-ion battery. Related laws and regulations are,
however, subject to change. For detailed conditions regarding the transport of battery
packs, please consult your respective air transport company.
Overview/Features
The BP-U35/U70 uses lithium-ion batteries. Refer to the Operation Manual/Operating
Instructions of your devices for details about support for this battery pack.
The features of the battery pack are as follows:

The battery pack can be recharged before being fully exhausted.
ˎ
ˎ
The remaining capacity of the battery is indicated by LEDs on the top when you
press the CHECK button.
ˎ
ˎ
While charging, the charge level is indicated using four green LEDs.

On charging

After purchase, charge the battery pack before using it for the first time.
ˎ
ˎ
The battery pack can be charged within a temperature range of 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F
to 104 °F). However, we recommend charging within a temperature range of 10 °C
to 30 °C (50 °F to 86 °F) to ensure optimum battery performance.
ˎ
ˎ
The battery pack discharges naturally over time. To prolong the life of the product,
it is recommended that you fully charge the battery pack before using it. For details
on the charging procedure, refer to the Operation Manual/Operating Instructions
supplied with the battery charger.
ˎ

The battery pack may become warm in use or while being charged. This is normal.
On use

Never short-circuit the battery pack terminals.
ˎ
ˎ
Never attempt to open the battery pack.
ˎ
ˎ
Avoid mechanical shock.

Please consult the store where you purchased this battery pack or your sales
representative before using the battery pack in a product whose Operation
Manual/Operating Instructions does not explicitly state that the battery pack can be
used, or before using the battery pack in conjunction with another power supply.
Inappropriate use of the battery pack may result in unit misoperation.

The performance and operating time of the battery may drop under cold conditions.
To extend the usage time of the battery pack, it is recommended that you warm up
the battery pack beforehand and then attach it to your device just before use.
ˎ
ˎ
Continuous use at levels beyond the maximum discharge level may cause the
protection circuit to shut off the current to protect the internal cells.
ˎ
ˎ
A protection circuit will shut off the current to protect the battery pack’s internal
cells under the following conditions:
— When an excessive current flow is caused by overloading or short circuited
terminals.
— When the voltage drops to 11 V or lower and results in the cessation of current
output.
ˎ
ˎ
Once the protection circuit has tripped, the battery pack will not return to normal
automatically. To cancel the effect of the protection circuit, you must charge the
battery pack with charger dedicated to the lithium-ion battery packs.
ˎ
ˎ
When charging using a dedicated battery charger, the protection circuit operation
is bypassed. However, it will not recover if the internal fuse blows out.
ˎ
ˎ
Be sure not to drop the unit or subject it to strong impacts. This may result in unit
malfunction.
On storage

Never expose the battery pack to rain or moisture.
ˎ
ˎ
Keep away from children.
ˎ
ˎ
Never expose the battery pack to temperatures above 60 °C (140 °F). Store the

When storing the battery pack for an extended period (more than a month), it is
recommended that you discharge the battery pack to about 50% of its full capacity
(two LEDs lit green). While the battery pack is stored, charge it until the capacity
reaches 50% once every 6 months.

If the battery is unused and not charged at all, the battery may not be able to be
recharged. Accordingly, regular charging is recommended.

Battery life

Battery life may be shortened due to storage or operation in high temperatures,
storage with its full capacity, and frequent use.
ˎ
ˎ
Renew the battery pack when the operating time with a completely charged
battery pack becomes noticeably short or all LEDs flash green because the
self-diagnostics function has detected the end of battery life. If a battery pack is
deteriorated, all the green LEDs may not light when the CHECK button is pressed
just after charging is completed.
Self-diagnostic function
When an abnormality (such as a blown fuse) is detected, all the LEDs flash in green. If
this happens, stop using the battery pack immediately.
About the LED indicators
Remaining battery pack capacity indication (Fig. A)
When you press the CHECK button, the LEDs light up as shown in Figure A to indicate
the battery capacity.
Capacity indication while discharging (Fig. A)
The battery pack has a function that lights the LEDs

automatically when current starts
flowing from the battery pack. By factory default, this function is turned off.
1) When the remaining capacity is 1% to 5%, a LED lights in red when the CHECK
button is pressed or flashes red while discharging.
Turn the remaining capacity indication function on/off as described below.

La BP-U35/U70 dispose d’une capacité nominale inférieure à 100 Wh. Elle peut donc
être transportée en tant que batterie au lithium ionisé non dangereuse. Cependant, les

La BP-U35/U70 utilise des batteries au lithium ionisé. Reportez-vous au Mode

n’est pas automatiquement rétabli. Pour annuler l’effet du circuit de protection, la
batterie doit être rechargée avec le chargeur spécialisé pour batterie au lithium-ion.

Lors de la charge à l’aide d’un chargeur de batterie dédié, le fonctionnement du
circuit de protection est court-circuité. Cependant, il ne se rétablira pas si le fusible
interne grille.

Ceci pourrait causer un dysfonctionnement de l’appareil.

il est recommandé de décharger la batterie à environ 50% de sa capacité totale

ce que sa capacité atteigne 50% une fois tous les 6 mois.

Si la batterie n’est pas utilisée et n’est pas chargée du tout, il se peut qu’elle ne puisse

Autonomie de la batterie

La durée de vie de la batterie peut être réduite en fonction de son entreposage, son
utilisation à hautes températures ou son entreposage avec sa capacité totale et en
fonction de sa fréquence d’utilisation.
ˎ
ˎ
Remplacez la batterie quand le temps de fonctionnement est considérablement
réduit avec une batterie complètement chargée, ou quand tous les segments de la
DEL clignotent en vert parce que la fonction d’autodiagnostic a détecté la fin de la
vie de service de la batterie. Si une batterie est détériorée, il est possible que toutes
les DEL vertes ne s’allument pas lorsque le bouton CHECK est enfoncé juste après la
fin de la charge.
Fonction d’autodiagnostic
Lorsqu’une anomalie (comme un fusible grillé) est détectée, toutes les DEL clignotent
en vert. Dans ce cas, arrêtez immédiatement l’emploi de la batterie.

Informationen für Käufer des Akkus
Der Akku BP-U35/U70 besitzt eine Nennkapazität von weniger als 100 Wh. Er kann
daher als ungefährlicher Lithium-Ionen-Akku transportiert werden. Diesbezügliche
Gesetze und Vorschriften sind jedoch Änderungen unterworfen. Wenden Sie
sich vor einem Transport per Luftfracht an Ihr Transportunternehmen, um
Beförderungsbedingungen zu erfragen.
Vorbemerkung/Merkmale
Beim BP-U35/U70 handelt es sich um einen Lithium-Ionen-Akku. Einzelheiten zur
Unterstützung dieses Akkus siehe Benutzerhandbuch/Bedienungsanleitung zu Ihren
Geräten.
Der Akku besitzt die folgenden Merkmale:

Im Gegensatz zu anderen Akkutypen darf der Lithiumionen-Akku bereits geladen
werden, wenn er noch nicht ganz leer ist.

ˎ
Die Restladung wird mit LEDs an der Oberseite angezeigt, wenn Sie die Taste
CHECK drücken.
ˎ
ˎ
Während des Ladevorgangs wird der Ladestand mit vier grünen LEDs angezeigt.
Hinweise
Zum Laden
ˎ
ˎ
Laden Sie nach dem Kauf den Akku vor der ersten Verwendung auf.
ˎ
ˎ
Der Akku kann bei Temperaturen zwischen 0 °C und 40 °C geladen werden.
Für optimalen Ladeeffekt wird jedoch empfohlen, den Akku bei Temperaturen
zwischen 10 °C und 30 °C zu laden.
ˎ
ˎ
Die Akkus entladen sich auch ohne Einsatz mit der Zeit selbst. Zur Verlängerung der
Lebensdauer des Akkus wird deshalb geraten, jeden Akku vor dem tatsächlichen
Gebrauch vollständig aufzuladen. Einzelheiten zum Ladevorgang entnehmen
Sie bitte dem/der zusammen mit dem Ladegerät gelieferten Benutzerhandbuch/
Bedienungsanleitung.

Der Akku kann sich während des Betriebs und während des Ladevorgangs
erwärmen. Es handelt sich dabei nicht um eine Störung.
Zum Betrieb
ˎ
ˎ
Schließen Sie niemals die Akkukontakte kurz.
ˎ
ˎ
Versuchen Sie niemals, den Akku zu öffnen.
ˎ
ˎ
Stoßen Sie den Akku nirgends an.
ˎ
ˎ
Wenn der Akku mit einem Gerät verwendet werden soll, in dessen Benutzerhandbuch/
Bedienungsanleitung eine Stromversorgungsmöglichkeit mit diesem Akku
nicht explizit erwähnt ist, oder wenn der Akku zusammen mit einer anderen
Stromversorgung verwendet werden soll, erkundigen Sie sich bei Ihrem Händler oder
Ihrer Kundendienststelle, ob dies problemlos möglich ist. Ein nicht ordnungsgemäßer
Gebrauch des Akkus könnte zu Betriebsstörungen des Gerätes führen.

Die Leistung und Betriebszeit des Akkus reduzieren sich bei niedrigen
Umgebungstemperaturen. Um die Nutzungsdauer des Akkus zu verlängern, wird
empfohlen, den Akku erst aufzuwärmen und direkt vor der Verwendung am Gerät
anzubringen.

Durchgehende Verwendung bei mehr als der maximalen Entladungsmenge könnte
dazu führen, dass der Schutzschaltkreis den Strom abschaltet, um die internen
Zellen zu schützen.
ˎ
ˎ
In den folgenden Fällen trennt eine Schutzschaltung den Stromfluss zum Schutz
der Akkuzellen:
— Bei Überstrom aufgrund Überbelastung oder Kurzschließen der Kontakte.
— Wenn ein Spannungsabfall auf 11 V oder mehr zu Stromausfall führt.

ˎ
Eine einmal ausgelöste Schutzschaltung lässt sich nur durch erneutes Laden mit
dem für Lithiumionenakkus geeigneten Ladegerät wieder abschalten.
ˎ
ˎ
Beim Laden mit einem speziellen Akkuladegerät wird die Funktion der
Schutzschaltung umgangen. Falls die interne Sicherung ausgelöst wird, wird die
Schutzschaltung nicht abgeschaltet.
ˎ
ˎ
Achten Sie darauf, das Gerät nicht fallen zu lassen oder starken Stößen auszusetzen.
Dies könnte zu einer Fehlfunktion des Geräts führen.
Zur Lagerung
ˎ
ˎ
Schützen Sie den Akku vor Regen und Feuchtigkeit.
ˎ
ˎ
Batterien von Kindern fernhalten.
ˎ
ˎ
Setzen Sie den Akku niemals Temperaturen aus, die 60 °C übersteigen. Lagern Sie den
Akku an einem trockenen Ort bei Temperaturen zwischen 0 °C und 23 °C.
ˎ
ˎ
Wenn der Akku längere Zeit gelagert wird (länger als einen Monat), wird
empfohlen, ihn auf ca. 50% seiner vollen Kapazität zu entladen (zwei LEDs leuchten
dann grün). Laden Sie den Akku während seiner Lagerung alle 6 Monate auf 50%
seiner vollen Kapazität auf.

Falls der Akku nicht verwendet und nicht geladen wird, verliert er möglicherweise
seine Ladefähigkeit. Daher wird regelmäßiges Laden empfohlen.

Wenn die Akkukontakte verschmutzt sind, reinigen Sie sie mit einem weichen Tuch.

Zur Lebensdauer des Akkus

Die Akkulebensdauer kann aufgrund der Lagerung oder dem Betrieb bei hohen
Temperaturen, der Lagerung mit voller Leistung und häufigem Gebrauch abnehmen.
ˎ
ˎ
Wenn der Akku nur noch eine merklich geringere Betriebszeit ermöglicht,
obwohl er voll aufgeladen wurde, oder wenn alle LEDs grün blinken, da die
Selbstdiagnosefunktion das Ende der Akkulebensdauer erkannt hat, wechseln
Sie ihn gegen einen neuen Akku aus. Wenn ein Akku verfallen ist, leuchten
möglicherweise nicht alle LEDs auf, wenn die Taste CHECK direkt nach dem
Beenden des Ladevorgangs gedrückt wird.
Selbstdiagnosefunktion
Wenn ein anormaler Zustand (wie eine ausgelöste Sicherung) erkannt wird, blinken
alle LEDs grün. In diesem Fall beenden Sie die Verwendung des Akkus sofort.

Wenn Sie die Taste CHECK drücken, leuchten die LEDs wie in Abbildung A gezeigt auf
und zeigen die Restladung an.
Ladungsanzeige beim Entladen (Abb. A)
Der Akku besitzt eine Funktion, durch welche die LEDs

Akku automatisch aufleuchten. Werkseitig ist diese Funktion ausgeschaltet.

Beträgt die Restladung 1% bis 5%, leuchtet auf Drücken der Taste CHECK eine LED
rot auf oder blinkt während eines Entladevorgangs rot.
Die Funktion zur Anzeige der Restladung wird wie folgt ein-/ausgeschaltet.

Per gli acquirenti del blocco batteria
Il blocco batteria BP-U35/U70 ha una capacità nominale inferiore a 100 Wh. Ne è
quindi consentito il trasporto come batteria agli ioni di litio non pericolosa. Le relative
leggi e disposizioni sono tuttavia soggette a variazioni. Per informazioni dettagliate
sulle condizioni di trasporto di blocchi batteria è necessario rivolgersi alla compagnia
aerea utilizzata.
Descrizione/Caratteristiche
Il blocco batteria BP-U35/U70 utilizza batterie agli ioni di litio. Fare riferimento al
Manuale o alle Istruzioni per l’uso del dispositivo per determinare se consente l’utilizzo
di questo blocco batteria.
Il blocco batteria ha le caratteristiche descritte di seguito:

Il blocco batteria può essere ricaricato prima che sia completamente scarico.
ˎ
ˎ
Premendo il pulsante CHECK, è possibile controllare la capacità rimanente della
batteria mediante i LED presenti nella parte superiore del blocco batteria stesso.
ˎ
ˎ
Il livello di carica durante la ricarica viene indicato mediante quattro LED verdi.
Precauzioni
Sulla ricarica

ˎ
Dopo l’acquisto, caricare sempre il blocco batteria prima del primo utilizzo.
ˎ
ˎ
Il blocco batteria può essere caricato a temperature comprese tra 0 °C e 40 °C.
Tuttavia, consigliamo di eseguire la carica a temperature comprese tra 10 °C e 30 °C
per ottenere prestazioni ottimali del blocco batteria.

ˎ
Il blocco batteria si scarica naturalmente con il passare del tempo. Per estendere la
durata del prodotto, si consiglia di caricare completamente il blocco batteria prima
di usarlo. Per dettagli sul procedimento di carica, fare riferimento al Manuale o alle
Istruzioni per l’uso del caricabatterie.

Il blocco batteria può riscaldarsi durante l’uso o durante la carica. Questo è normale.
Sull’uso

Non cortocircuitare mai i terminali del blocco batteria.
ˎ
ˎ
Non tentare mai di aprire il blocco batteria.
ˎ
ˎ
Evitare scosse meccaniche.
ˎ
ˎ
Si prega di consultare il negozio di acquisto del blocco batteria o il rappresentante
di vendita prima di usare il blocco batteria per un prodotto il cui Manuale o
Istruzioni per l’uso non indichino esplicitamente che questo blocco batteria possa
essere utilizzato, nonché prima di usare il blocco batteria in combinazione con altre
fonti di alimentazione. Un uso non appropriato del blocco batteria può causare
problemi di funzionamento.

Le prestazioni e il tempo di impiego del blocco batteria possono diminuire in ambienti
freddi. Per estendere la durata della carica del blocco batteria, si consiglia di riscaldarlo
prima dell’uso e montarlo sul dispositivo solo immediatamente prima dell’uso.

ˎ
L’uso continuato a livelli superiori al massimo valore di scarica potrebbe causare
l’intervento del circuito di protezione, interrompendo l’erogazione di corrente per
proteggere le celle interne.
ˎ
ˎ
Un circuito di protezione interrompe la corrente per proteggere le cellule interne
del blocco batteria nelle seguenti condizioni:
— Quando un flusso di corrente eccessivo viene causato da sovraccarico o
cortocircuito dei terminali.
— Quando la tensione scende a 11 V o meno e si verifica un’interruzione
nell’emissione di corrente.

Una volta che il circuito di protezione si è attivato, il blocco batteria non torna
automaticamente allo stato normale. Per annullare l’effetto del circuito di protezione,
si deve caricatore adatto ai blocchi batteria a ioni di litio.
ˎ
ˎ
Durante la carica mediante un caricabatterie dedicato, il circuito di protezione
viene bypassato e non è attivo. Tuttavia non si ripristinerà in caso di intervento del
fusibile interno.
ˎ
ˎ
Proteggere l’unità da forti urti o cadute per evitare problemi di funzionamento.
Sulla conservazione
ˎ
ˎ
Non esporre il blocco batteria alla pioggia o all’umidità.
ˎ
ˎ
Tenere il blocco batteria fuori dalla portata dei bambini.
ˎ
ˎ
Non esporre mai il pacco batteria ad una temperatura superiore ai 60 °C. Conservare il
pacco batteria in un luogo asciutto a temperature comprese tra i 0 °C e i 23 °C.

ˎ
Per la conservazione del blocco batteria per periodi prolungati (oltre un mese) si
consiglia di scaricarlo al 50% circa della carica completa (due LED verdi illuminati).

Durata del blocco batteria

La durata della batteria potrebbe diminuire a causa della conservazione o per
funzionare ad alte temperatura, per essere conservato completamente carico e per
l’uso frequente.

Sostituire il blocco batteria quando il tempo di impiego con il blocco batteria
completamente carico diventa chiaramente breve, o quando tutti i LED
lampeggiano in verde poiché la funzione di auto diagnosi ha riscontrato che la vita
utile della batteria è giunta al termine. Se il blocco batteria è deteriorato, è possibile
che non tutti i LED verdi si illuminino alla pressione del pulsante CHECK dopo il
completamento della ricarica.
Funzione di auto diagnosi
Qualora si riscontri un’anomalia (ad esempio un fusibile bruciato) tutti i LED
lampeggiano in verde. Se ciò si verifica, smettere immediatamente di usare il blocco
batteria.

Il blocco batteria è dotato di una funzione che illumina i LED

dell’acquisto, questa funzione è disattivata.

LED si illumina in rosso alla pressione del pulsante CHECK oppure lampeggia in
rosso durante la scarica.
Per attivare o disattivare la funzione di indicazione della capacità rimanente, eseguire

Para los compradores del paquete de batería
El paquete de batería BP-U35/U70 tiene una potencia nominal inferior a 100 Wh.
Gracias a ello, se puede transportar como una batería de litio ión no peligrosa. Sin
embargo, las leyes y normativas aplicables podrían sufrir modificaciones. Rogamos
que obtenga de su compañía aérea las condiciones específicas para el transporte de
paquetes de baterías.
Generalidades/Funciones
El paquete de batería BP-U35/U70 utiliza baterías de litio ión. Consulte el Manual
de instrucciones/Instrucciones de funcionamiento de sus dispositivos para obtener
información sobre la compatibilidad de este paquete de batería.
Las características del paquete de batería son las siguientes:

El paquete de batería puede recargarse antes de agotarse totalmente.

La capacidad restante de la batería se indica mediante varios LED en la parte
superior cuando pulsa el botón CHECK.

Durante la carga, el nivel de carga se indica utilizando cuatro LED verdes.

Tras la compra, cargue el paquete de batería antes de utilizarlo por primera vez.

El paquete de batería puede cargarse en una gama de temperaturas de 0 °C a
40 °C. Sin embargo, se recomienda cargar dentro de una carga de 10 °C a 30 °C para
garantizar prestaciones óptimas de la batería.

El paquete de batería se descarga naturalmente con el tiempo. Para prolongar la
duración del producto, se recomienda cargar totalmente el paquete de batería

cargador de la batería.
