2.2.2 Mounting and connecting the GPS receiver
Caution: The mounted GPS receiver must not impede the
driver’s attention on traffic.
Connecting the GPS
receiver... 1. Place the GPS receiver horizontally under the windscreen, as
far forwards as possible.
Note: The reception of GPS signals may be obstructed by
windscreen heating wires, by a windscreen aerial, or when the
windscreen is moralised. In this case, you might use an
external vehicle antenna, which may be obtained from our
support team, from our online-shop, or from your specialised
dealer.
2. Plug the connection cable of the GPS receiver to the
respective socket of the adapter, which connects the Pocket
PC to the power supply.
3. Plug the jack of the adaptor into the socket of the cigarette
lighter.
4. Turn the GPS receiver on.
2.2.3 Initialising the GPS receiver
Initialisation of the
GPS receiver The initialisation process of the GPS receiver starts automatically.
Within 15 seconds, the GPS icon on your Pocket PC switches from
No GPS to No signal.
As soon as the signals of more than 3 satellites are being
received, the GPS icon switches to GPS ready.

This procedure may take about 20 minutes. When the GPS icon
becomes GPS ready earlier, it would be good to leave the GPS
receiver turned on for about 15 more minutes in order to grant
