Adjusting the Switch Thresholds

The Switch Thresholds page displays a variety of switch threshold settings.

To view the current threshold settings:

Click Advanced Functions > Thresholds > Switch.

The Switch Thresholds page appears.

To change switch thresholds or time intervals:

1.

Enter the new value in the appropriate text box.

The valid range is displayed next to the text box.

Click Submit.

The new value is set.

Setting

Description

Ordered Set Error Threshold

The maximum number of OS errors allowed in a 10-second
interval before a port is bypassed. Setting this value to "0" returns
it to the factory default setting.
This setting is activated on the Port Smart Settings page.

CRC Error Threshold

The maximum number of CRC errors allowed in a 10-second
interval before a port is bypassed. Setting this value to "0" returns
it to the factory default setting.
This setting is activated on the Port Smart Settings page.

Bad Zone Recovery Hold Time
(measured in centi-seconds)

The amount of time that the switch keeps the ports in bypass
mode before attempting to re-insert the ports into the zone.
This setting is activated on the Advanced Functions One-Step
Zoning page.

Bad Zone Recovery Delay
Time
(measured in seconds)

The amount of time that the switch waits after a zone goes down
before attempting to recover the zone.
This setting is activated on the Advanced Functions One-Step
Zoning page.

Port Utilization Interval
(measured in seconds)

The length of time between readings of the current port’s
utilization.
