Manual Tracking
Scratched tapes or poorly recorded tapes may require additional picture
adjustment. You can do this with the remote control.
1 Press the CH ( or ) button on the remote control or TRACKING
button on the VCR when viewing a cassette.
Press either the
or buttons until picture is clear.

• During playback, the tracking level meter (with a number) will appear in
the VCR's display. Press the
or button to adjust the playback level
so the number is the largest.
Note: When manual tracking has been activated, auto tracking will not operate
until you press the PLAY button on the remote control during playback or remove
the tape and reinsert it to play it back.
