Cut-Away View
A CCD Housing:
this movable platform contains the light sensor and
holds the optics.
B Positioning Lead Screws: for positioning of the CCD housing and
optics housing for the appropriate resolution and original size.
C Optics Housing:
focuses the image of the original on the CCD.
D Upper Light Source: illuminates reflective originals.
E Lower Light Source: illuminates transparent originals.
F Drum:
rotates the original into the scanner and steps it past the CCD
line of focus.
G Original Holder: a transparency holder is shown mounted and with
the top layer held open.
