You MUST use the Pad Tray
with the Ultra-Microfiber

Pads when using the SV-60
on hard surface floors.

Make sure you always start
with completely dry pads.
The pad will absorb moisture
as it cleans. Once it becomes
damp, replace it with a dry pad.

Never leave your Ultra-
MicroFiber

Pad on your

SV-60 Steam Vacuum when
you have finished using the
unit. Once the unit has cooled,
remove the pad before storing
the SV-60.

Always place your SV-60 on
the Resting Mat while it is
cooling down to protect your
floors.

Carpet Tray for Higher Pile Carpets:

Because the SV-60 Steam Vacuum does not have the

ability to adjust the height of the vacuum base, there

is an optional tray designed to accommodate higher

pile carpets.

To Attach the High Pile Tray:

1) Turn power OFF.

2) There are 4 raised buttons on the underside of

the base of the SV-60 that correspond to indents

in the top side of the High Pile Tray. (Fig 18)

3) Set the Pad Tray on the floor with the indents

facing up. Align the buttons and press together

until you hear the tray snap into place. You are

now ready to use the SV-60 on higher pile.

Haan

ultra-MicroFiber

Pads:

What is an ultra-microfiber?

An ultra-microfiber is a textile fiber that is thinner

than a microfiber. The Ultra-MicroFiber™ by Haan

®

Corporation is 5-10 times thinner than common

microfiber providing for a significantly higher thread

count in the same surface area. The thinner and

higher the thread count, the greater the absorption.

The Haan

®

ultra-microfibers are so thin that more

dirt and dust gets trapped between the fibers, making

your cleaning easier and less time-consuming. (Fig 19)

The ultra-microfiber pad is made up of multiple

layers of super absorbent material. The outer layer

is ultra-microfiber on one side and a “hook & loop”

system on the other side that attaches easily to the

underside of the steam head after the Pad Tray is

attached (see directions on pages 10-11). Simply place

the pad on the floor with the “hook & loop” side

up, and lightly press the SV-60 Steam Vacuum onto it.

As high temperature steam passes through a pad to

contact the floor to kill germs, molds and mites. It is

natural that the pad gradually absorbs moisture. After

a certain length of time, the pad repels water and

becomes damp. When the pad becomes saturated,

turn the unit OFF and wait until the unit cools down

for approximately 5 minutes. Put your foot on a corner

of the pad and lift the SV-60 off the pad. Replace

with a dry pad, turn the unit back on and continue.

To keep the floor clean and dry, replace the pad

when it is dirty and/or saturated.
