Key Assembly

CD Player

• Insert the key chain strap through the opening in the key.

Wrap the key chain strap around the end of the key.
Insert the end of the key chain strap through the slot in
the key chain.

• Insert and “snap” the key assembly into the opening in

the dash, as shown.

• Apply labels 9 and 10 to the key chain.

• Wipe the steering column with a paper towel to remove

any excess lubricant.

• Turn the vehicle on its side.

• Insert the straight end of the steering column up

through the hole in the vehicle body wall and out
through the hole in the dash.

Dash

• Replace the CD player into the pocket in the dash.

• If you'd like, replace the #8 x 1" screw (see step 1 on

page 8) underneath the dash and into the bottom of the
CD player.

Hints: The CD player is a portable toy that stores in the
dash. If you’d like to keep the CD player with the vehicle,
re-install and fasten the screw removed in step 1.

• Insert the end of the steering column through the hole

in the steering rod.

• Fit a cap nut onto the end of the steering column.

• While supporting the steering column, tap the cap nut

with a hammer to secure it on the steering column.

Hint: You may want the help of another person to
support the steering column while you tap the cap nut
with the hammer.
