and then you will see:

4. Press the

key.

You will hear ‘wind’ pronounced as in breeze.

5. Press the

key.

This will move the highlight to the second sense of the word.

6. Press the

key.

You will now hear ‘wind’ pronounced as in twist and turn.

Here are a few words to try with your students: associate, bow,
close, defect, graduate, lead and moderate.

To go to the translation of a highlighted word in the Multiple
Pronunciations list, the learner can press the

key to return to

the Word entry screen, and then press the

key again to go to

the translation.

Spelling Correction

Learning a second language, especially English, can present a
tremendous challenge to those making the transition from speaking to
writing. For example, the learner my be comfortable using the word
“physical” in spoken language, but may be uncertain as to the correct
spelling. Phonetically, he or she may spell it “fisical”.
