The meanings of the symbols are as follows:
Power-on indicator – mains operation

The indicator lights up green: The mains adapter is supplying power to the
notebook.

The indicator flashes green: the notebook is in Standby mode.
Power-on indicator – battery operation
●
The indicator lights up green: The battery is supplying power to the notebook.
●
The indicator flashes green: the notebook is in Standby mode.
●
The indicator lights up orange: The battery is nearly empty.
●
The indicator flashes yellow: The notebook is in the standby mode and the
battery is almost empty.
●
The indicator lights up red: The battery is empty.
●
The indicator flashes orange: The notebook is in the standby mode and the
battery is empty.
Battery charging indicator
The indicator lights up: The battery is charging.
Drive indicator
The indicator lights up: one of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DVD) is being accessed.
Indicator Wireless LAN
The indicator lights up: the Easy Launch key
has been pressed. The wireless LAN
module is switched on.

Caps Lock indicator
The indicator lights up: the Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters you
type appear in uppercase. In the case of overlay keys, the character printed on the
upper left of the key appears when that key is pressed.
Scroll indicator (Scroll Lock)
The indicator lights up: the key combination Fn + Scr Lock has been pressed.
The effect this key has varies from programme to programme.

Num Lock indicator
The indicator lights up: the key combination Fn + Num Lock has been pressed.
The numeric keypad is activated. In the case of overlay keys, the character printed on
the upper right of the key appears when that key is pressed.
