formal Code of Ethics for Metal Detector
Operators:
• I will respect private and public property,
all historical and archaeological sites
and will not metal detect on these sites
without proper permission.
• I will keep informed and obey all laws,
regulations and rules governing federal,
state and local public land.
• I will aid law enforcement officials
whenever possible.
