ASSEMbLy INSTRuCTIONS

IMPORTANT:

1.

If you have any doubts about your ability to perform the following

assembly procedures, you should have a qualified service technician perform the

assembly for you.
Located at the base of the Crankcase Sump (11 - page 13) are four 8mm x 1.25

Set the Engine upright on the power equipment unit, and align the four mounting

holes of the Engine with four 8mm x 1.25 mounting holes in the power equip-

ment unit.

NOTE: Depending on the power equipment unit, it may be necessary

to drill four 8mm mounting holes which will align with the mounting holes in the

Engine.

Use four 8mm x 1.25 hardened steel Bolts, Washers, Lock Washers, and self-locking

Nuts (not included) of appropriate length to secure the Engine to the power equip-

ment unit.

(See figure A.)

CAuTION! Check to make sure the bolts, washers, Lock washers, and

Nuts used dO NOT come in contact with any moving part of the Engine and

power equipment unit.
Insert the power equipment unit’s throttle control cable wire end into the hole lo-

cated in the Regulating Mount with Throttle (1 - page 22). Then secure the Throttle

Control Cable to the Throttle.

NOTE:

Refer to the power equipment unit’s owner manual for instructions on how

to properly attach a belt drive pulley, chain drive gear, etc. onto the Crankshaft

(10 - page 15) of the Engine.
