Fitting And Removing The Battery Pack

WARNING.

Ensure the battery is

inserted straight into the drill and

never on an angle.
To remove the battery pack from

the drill firmly press the battery

pack release tabs (5) at either

side of the battery pack, and pull

the battery pack out of the tool.

To fit the battery pack, slide the

battery pack into the drill until the release tabs (5) lock the

battery into place. The battery should slide fully on to the

drill foot until the battery pack latches “click” into position.

Battery Charging

IMPORTANT.

Before inserting into or removing the battery

pack (6) from the battery charger cradle (7) always ensure

that the plug is not in the mains socket.

ATTENTION.

Never charge the battery for longer than 7

hours. Doing so will void battery warranty.
1. Insert the charger plug (6) into

the socket on the side of the

charger stand (7).

2. Connect the battery charger to

a suitable power supply socket

and switch on the power.

Note.

The green LED power

indicator (9) will show there is

power going to the charger.
3. Insert the battery into the

charger socket taking care that

the battery pack tabs align with

the guides in the charger. It

should fit easily. Do not force.

Check that the battery pack is

firmly seated in the charger.

Note.

The red LED charge indicator (10) will show that the

battery is correctly inserted into the charger cradle and is

on charge. The battery charge time is approximately 5 to 7

hours. If the red indicator light does not come ON, check to

make sure the battery pack is inserted fully into the charger

cradle and the electrical outlet is working properly.

Note.

The red light will switch off when the battery is fully

charged, indicating the battery is no longer charging.
A further indication for a fully charged battery is the

temperature of the pack, which becomes fairly warm as the

battery becomes fully charged.

Important Charging Information
WARNING.

Never leave a battery on charge once it starts

to warm up.
If you wish to charge a second battery pack, pull out the

plug from the mains supply and keep it disconnected for at

least 15 minutes before attempting to charge the second

battery.

To Obtain The Best Life For The Battery

Never allow the drill to come to a complete stand still

before recharging. The battery should be placed on charge

whenever the battery is noticeably running down or the drill

no longer performs a task it previously performed.
Avoid conducting short charges. Make sure that the

battery is fully charged every time by charging for the

recommended charge time (5–7 hours).Avoid allowing lose

items like screws or nails etc. to be stored with battery

packs as these or similar items can short battery packs and

cause a fire or explosion.
Always unplug the charger when not in use and store in a

dry secure place.
Avoid charging or storing your battery in temperatures below

-10ºC and above 40ºC.
