Unpacking

Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely

that your GMC Power Tool is faulty or that a part is missing.

If you find anything wrong, do not operate the tool until the

parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified.

Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.

Fitting and removing the battery pack

WARNING.

Only use GMC 18VDT-BAT 18V batteries in

this truck.
1. Open the roof of the truck by pressing the roof release

button (4) located at the rear of the truck.

2. Lift the rear of the roof (5) upward and pull it away from

the truck.

3. Insert the terminal end of the freshly charged battery (not

supplied) into the battery cavity inside the truck. Ensure

the battery is fully inserted into the battery cavity of the

truck.

4. To re-install the roof, insert the two tabs located on the

front of the roof into the matching slots on the truck.

5. Lower the rear of roof onto the truck and press downward

until the roof ‘clicks’ into place.

Battery charging

IMPORTANT.

Before inserting into or removing the battery

pack (6) from the battery charger cradle (7) always ensure

that the plug is not in the mains socket.

ATTENTION.

Never charge

the battery for longer than 7

hours. Doing so will void battery

warranty.
1. Insert the charger plug (6) into

the socket on the side of the

charger stand (7).

2. Connect the battery charger to

a suitable power supply socket

and switch on the power.

Note.

The green LED power

indicator (9) will show there is

power going to the charger.
3. Insert the battery into the

charger socket taking care that

the battery pack tabs align with

the guides in the charger. It

should fit easily. Do not force. Check that the battery pack

is firmly seated in the charger.

Note.

The red LED charge indicator (10) will show that the

battery is correctly inserted into the charger cradle and is

on charge. The battery charge time is approximately 5 to 7

hours. If the red indicator light does not come ON, check to

make sure the battery pack is inserted fully into the charger

cradle and the electrical outlet is working properly.

Note.

The red light will switch off when the battery is fully

charged, indicating the battery is no longer charging.
A further indication for a fully charged battery is the

temperature of the pack, which becomes fairly warm as the

battery becomes fully charged.

Important Charging Information
WARNING.

Never leave a battery on charge once it starts

to warm up.
