Paint and Varnish Soften with oil, lard or petroleum jelly, then sponge with
turpentine or banana oil. Launder in warm water. Same as white and bleachable fabrics.
Perspiration Apply undiluted liquid detergent and launder in warm water. If
color has changed you may be able to restore it by treating with
ammonia or vinegar.** If any stain remains, treat
safe dry
cleaning fluid* or bleach according to the Stain Removal Hint on
opposite page, launder and dry.

Rust Apply rust remover,** using manufacturer’s directions. Rinse and
launder. Same as white and fabrics.
