The home screen is displayed when you

turn on the phone. To dial a number from

the home screen, press the number keys

and N.

Note: Your home screen may look different

from the one on this page, depending on

your service provider.

When M is displayed, you can press M to

open the menu. Labels at the bottom

corners of the display show the current soft

key functions. Press the left or right soft key

to perform the function indicated by the

label. For soft key locations, see page 1.

In the home screen, press S up, down, left,

or right to open basic menu features. You

can choose to show or hide home screen

display icons.
Find it: Press

M

> Personalise > Home Screen

> Home Keys > Icons

status indicators

Status indicators may be shown at the top of

the home screen:

1 Signal Strength Indicator − Vertical bars

show the strength of the network

connection. You cannot make or receive

calls when ! is displayed.

2 GPRS Indicator − Shown when

your phone is using a high-speed

GPRS network connection. Indicators

show PDP context active * or packet

data available +.

3 Data Indicator − Shows connection

status.

5 Active Line Indicator − Shown ?

to indicate an active call, or > to

indicate when call forwarding is on.

Indicators for dual phone lines (requires

SIM card for 2 phone lines) can include:

6 Message Indicator − Shown when

you receive a new message.

Indicators can include:

7 Ring Style Indicator − Shows the ring

style setting.

8 Battery Level Indicator − Vertical bars

show the battery charge level. Recharge

the battery when your phone shows

Low Battery.
