Muting the Microphone on the Handset Base

You can ‘Mute’ the handset microphone during a call if you do not wish your caller to be able to
hear you or any local conversation or noise. If you use the ‘Mute’ feature you will still be able to
hear your caller, but they will not be able to hear you.
1. During a handset or handsfree call, press ‘Mute’ key on the handset base. The will be

displayed to remind you that your caller cannot hear you.

2. To turn ‘Mute’ off again, just press the ‘Mute’ key again.

You can lock the keypad of your cordless handset to avoid accidentally dialling a number when
you are carrying your handset around.
1. To lock the keypad, press and hold the ‘#’ key during standby. A icon will appear in the top

row of the display to confirm that the keypad is locked

2. To unlock the keypad, press and hold the ‘#’ key
Note: When the keylock is on you will still be able to accept incoming calls
