[1] Checking the Operating Environment

The setup will vary depending on the environment in which you will be using your AVeL Link Player. Select the applicable
environment from the options explained below.

Using the AVeL Link Player as a DVD/CD player

When you want to connect the AVeL Link Player to a TV to view DVDs and CDs (no network connection)


Using the AVeL Link Player to play the video, audio and image files

stored in your computer via network (with DHCP server)

When a DHCP server (broadband router, etc.) that automatically assigns the IP address is available on the network to
which the AVeL Link Player is connected


Using the AVeL Link Player to play the video, audio and image files

stored in your computer via network (without DHCP server)

When a DHCP server (broadband router, etc.) that automatically assigns the IP address is not available on the network to
which the AVeL Link Player is connected

Go to "[2] Preparing the Remote Controller" (next page).


The AVeL Link Player cannot be used in
this application while your computer is
connected to the Internet. You need a
broadband router to use the AVeL Link
Player and Internet simultaneously.
